Enrollment Policy

Full-Time: Full-time families can schedule up to ten hours per day. By state law, children may only be at the Center ten consecutive hours per day.

Pre-Kindergarten:Limited spaces are available for Pre-Kindergarten, a federally funded program for all families. Enrollment (for children age 3-5) is not based on income. Pre-Kindergarten curriculum, schedule, and daily activities are comparable to DCPS, but there are enhanced services and family support components in areas such as technical assistance, health, comprehensive servicesa, and leadership opportunities.

Before/After School Care: Families can enroll school-age children (Pre-K through 6th) for before and/or after school. Transportaion to and from local programs is provided by NUCA to respective schools in the local area. Arrangements must be made with the school and parent before transportation is provided.

Admission: For all programs, admission preference is given on a First Come-First Served basis to all District of Columbia residents. If spaces are available after these priority groups have been served, spaces will be offered to other community members.
